located on the banks of the River Yamuna, which makes the beauty of the
Taj grow manifolds. It is this location that gives the Taj Mahal its
unique looks and spectacular photographic scenery during sunrise and
full moon nights.
The location of Taj Mahal is such that it can be viewed easily from the
Agra fort that lies across the banks of River Yamuna. It is said that
Shah Jahan in his last days, used to gaze at Taj Mahal from the Agra
fort and admire its beauty and long to be united with his beloved wife
again. He was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb in the Agra fort and was
left to die there.
