India’s premier airline, Kingfisher Airlines has been adjudged as the best carrier in India and the whole of Central Asia by Skytrax, a UK- based consultancy that conducts international- traveller surveys and best known for their annual World Airline Awards and World Airport Awards.
Kingfisher won under 3 categories -- best airline in India and Central Asia, best economy class seats and excellent staff service. Skytrax announced the results after a survey among 18 million air passengers from some 100 different countries that was carried out between July 2009 and April 2010.
"Being recognized by Skytrax is an honor and we would like to thank our valued guests who chose to fly Kingfisher Airlines," said Vijay Mallya, Chairman of Kingfisher Airlines.
Kingfisher Airlines is one of 6 airlines in the world to have a five-star rating from Skytrax, along with Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways.
