Kashmir will soon be setting up a Tourist Facilitation Center (TFC) in Nowgam near Srinagar at the total cost of Rs. 11.59 crore. The centre that will be constructed to mainly cater to the large influx of tourists visiting the region will open in the month of July. The Center which is nearing completion has been built near the Nowgam railway station and the Srinagar airport.
“The Tourist Facilitation Centre is adjacent to the railway station, which is also under construction. So whenever the train service starts, it will be easier for the tourists who come here," said Saleem Shishgar, Joint Director Tourism, Kashmir.
The center has all the facilities like a food court, coffee shop, a conference hall, restaurant, an information counter, a shopping mall, rock-climbing wall, amusement park and Internet facility.
