Indian Railways subsidiary, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will soon introduce a new travel package from Kanpur to Jammu (Vaishno Devi shrine) to benefit tourists. The package covers to and fro travel expenses (ticket booking), transportation from railway station to hotel, lodging and food expenses. A tourist information centre will also be set up at Kanpur Central railway station (city side) where passengers will be able to get information related to the tour package.
Under the scheme, IRCTC will pick up passengers from Jammu railway station and drop them at the designated hotels in Katra, Jammu. The passengers will be given a ‘darshan’ slip which is required at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. During 4 days and 5 nights stay in the hotel, passengers will benefit all the necessary facilities.
