The first metro rail service on the New Delhi-Gurgaon route was thrown open to public from June 21th. The 14km new metro link runs through Qutub Minar, Chhatarpur, Sultanpur, Ghitorni, Arjangarh, Guru Dronacharya, Sikanderpur, M G Road, IFFCO Chowk and reaches HUDA City Centre metro station. Passengers can now cover the entire distance in around 27 minutes at a rate of Rs 18, while the minimum ticket rate is priced at Rs 8.
The line has 10 stations and the DMRC( Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) has to complete another 2 lines before the Commonwealth Games in October  kick starts . The lines to be constructed include: Central Secretariat-Badarpur and New Delhi-Airport Express Line.
