Northern Railways, one of the 16 zones of Indian Railways (IR) has launched a broad gauge train to Himachal Pradesh that will run between Una, Himachal Pradesh and Haridwar, Uttarkhand thrice in a week from July 30th.
While the Haridwar- Una train number 2064 would leave Una at 5 am and arrive at Haridwar at 1.55 pm every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, the train number 2064 would depart from Haridwar at 2.35 pm and arrive at Una at 10.10 pm every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
Northern Railways had previously extended the first broad gauge Janshatabdi train service to Una in the year 2008. Himachal Pradesh currently has 7 narrow gauge trains each running on the world heritage route between Kalka and Shimla and Pathankot to Jogindernagar route, respectively.
