The sixth edition of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) organized by the state's tourism trade in association with the government, is all set to kick start from September 23rd in Bolgatty Palace, Cochin. The much-awaited tourism event besides showcasing the tourism products and services of the state will also bring together the business fraternity, entrepreneurs and buyers under one roof.
The main highlight of this year’s edition would be the speed networking sessions which would involve brief sit down meetings of about 2 minutes each between buyers and sellers. The interested participants of the travel will also be taken for the Pre and post farm tours to regions in Kerala.
Mathew Philip, CEO, KTM Society, said, "We have chosen a new venue for KTM 2010 -the Bolgatty Palace in Kochi. This gives us more space and a better ambience. We want to give the mart a festival like atmosphere."
KTM that was launched in 2000 is expecting around 800 domestic and 120 international buyers, this year. The buyer profile would include airlines, tour operators, travel agents, travel writers and the media. Sellers would include suppliers of travel products such as airlines, houseboats, home stays, hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agents and others who are members of the KTM Society.
