Kerala tourism’s global consumer travel website, www.keralatourism.org has been awarded the prestigious PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) Gold Award 2010 for the best website. The PATA Gold Awards that are considered to be the leading international awards honours industry stakeholders who have made significant contribution towards promoting travel and tourism across the Asia Pacific region.
"The keralatourism.org website is integral to Kerala Tourism’s worldwide marketing effort to promote Kerala’s amazing holiday experiences to the world. Keralatourism.org attracts one million visits each month and is the digital centrepiece of Kerala Tourism’s marketing activities around the world, so to receive a PATA Gold for best website is a great honour," said Kerala Tourism Secretary V Venu.
Keralatourism.org currently receives over 1, 00,000 visitors and 5, 00,000 page views a month. The site is available in English, Hindi, French, German, Chinese, Italian and Spanish as well as selected content in Malayalam. By visiting the site, travelers can get an insight into the interesting places of Kerala, destination offers, photographs, audio and video content pertaining to the state and others.
The 2010 PATA awards attracted a total of 200 entries from 80 different organizations and individuals worldwide. The awards will be presented on September 17th at the PATA Travel Mart in Macau.
