The Kerala tourism department has come up with 57 new tourism projects that are bound to give fillip to the state’s tourism sector. The total project estimated to be around 46 crore is expected to start in a month.

The Kerala tourism department has come up with 57 new tourism projects that are bound to give fillip to the state’s tourism sector. The total project estimated to be around 46 crore is expected to start in a month.
Some of the projects include the development of a tourism centre at Kallar and Nallathanni in Idukki district, set up of a tourism park at Ramackalmedu, a transit yard near Sabarimala in Pathanamthitta district Plans are also afoot to establish a tourist park around Mannom Sugar Mill. Besides, to increase the tourism prospects of Kumarakom, a tourist village in Kottayam district, a cultural centre, walkways and a lake view platform will be built.
"With the completion of these tourism projects, the Kerala holidays are likely to become more interesting, economical and diverse with a rich feast of attractions and activities for everyone," said Venu K Nair, Marketing Head of Karma Kerala, a travel operator.
