Holidays in NepalNepalese society is Hindu in its outlook and thus
celebrates most of the Hindu festivals. The major chunk of holidays in
Nepal consists of these festivals only. It includes festivals such as
Durga Puja, Holi, Dipawali, Shivaratri and Vasant Panchmi among others.
Then, there are holidays that are connected to national sentiments such
as Unification Day, Martyr's Day and Nepalese New Year. Apart from these, Saturday is the weekly off day. Most of the government and private offices are closed on Saturday. International holidays such as Labor Day
