Day 1 Gangtok

109 km drive from Gangtok to Chungthang.

Gangtok - A small town in hills with rich flora and serene Buddhist monasteries, Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim between the borders of Nepal and Bhutan. It offers excellent views of the entire Kanchenjunga range, worshipped as a local deity here. The highlights of the town are the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, a Museum of traditional and old artifacts, a Gompa for young lamas, the Tsuk-La-Khang or Royal Chapel, the main place of worship and assembly for Buddhists, Losar festival, Enchey Gompa, Orchid Sanctuary with 500 varieties of orchids, another orchid sanctuary called Orchidarium and Flower Exhibition Center where one can see seasonal flowers, bonsai and orchids.

Day 2 Lachen

26 km jeep safari from Chungthang to Lachen.
Overnight stay at Lachen in Camp I.


Day 3 Zema

Transfer from Lachen to Zema.
Overnight stay in camp.


Day 4 Zema

Trek to Camp II.
Overnight stay in Camp II.


Day 5 Zema

Trek to Camp III.
Overnight stay in Camp III.


Day 6 Pokechhu

Trek to Pokechhu Camp IV via Jakthang.
Overnight stay in Camp IV.


Day 7 Green Lake

Trek to Green Lake.
Overnight in camp at Green Lake.


Day 8 Zema

Day free to explore the Green Lake and Zema glacier region.


Day 9 Zema

Return to Camp IV.


Day 10 Zema

Return to Camp III.


Day 11 Zema

Return to Camp II.


Day 12 Zema

Return to camp I.


Day 13 Chungthang

Drive to Chungthang

Chungthang - Situated in Sikkim at the confluence of Lachen and Lachung Chu passes, Chungthang is the starting point of River Teesta. Besides the awesome views of the natural mountain scenery and pleasant cool climate, it also offers visit to the Holy Guru Lhedo, where one can see the foot and palm prints left behind by the Patron Saint.


Day 14 Gangtok

Drive to Gangtok for departure to onward destination.
