Orissa’s much-anticipated Shamuka tourism project will be developed near Sipasarubali, about 10 km south of Puri on the public-private partnership (PPP) mode at an huge investment of Rs. 3500 crore. To make the project more attractive, the Orissa government will soon revise some provisions and modalities.
The tourism department of Orissa will actively take part in promotions and launch various campaigns within the country and in some selected international destinations to attract investors for this project. The Shamuka tourism project once completed will have facilities like a convention centre, an 18-hole golf course, boutique hotels, international spa and wellness centres, an entertainment zone, five star hotels and sports facilities.
