The Orissa government is soon going to issue fresh tenders for 17 tourism properties that have to be renovated. The state tourism department will be roping in private players to revamp these properties that have been in bad condition due to the lack of maintenance. The renovation of the properties will be done completely on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
“We are waiting for the necessary government order to start the process of renovation of these properties. After the issue of the government order, we expect to sign agreements with the selected private players within a month,” said Mona Sharma, Director and the state tourism secretary, Orissa.
