The Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd has now introduced pre-order booking facility at duty-free outlets at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) to facilitate passengers. By availing this new facility, one can browse and pre-order from a wide range of products available at these shops. The purchased goods can then be collected at the arrival store, which is located in the international arrivals area next to the conveyor belt upon one’s return to Mumbai.
“This facility is aimed at enhancing passenger convenience by helping them save crucial traveling time and also reducing the hassle of carrying purchased goods safely through their journey,” said an official from MIAL. However, the passengers before boarding their flights need to make a selection basis on one’s permissible allowance and preference, submit one’s passport, flight details and make the payment.
CSIA considered as one of the busiest airport in India stretches over an area of 1450 acres. The airport that was ranked fourth best in the world for having aerobridges, fancy food courts, spas, and salons in the month of July handles more than 25 million passengers and 533,593 tonnes of cargo.
