India’s premium hotel chain, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts plans to foray into Thailand in the next 3 years as part of its plans to double the number of hotels under its brand. Liam Lambert, President, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts said, “We would want our brand to be present in Thailand and hope to be there in the next three years. Entering a tourist destination like Thailand is a precursor to the firm’s plans to spread its presence in the luxury capitals of the world like Paris, New York, Europe and Moscow.”
The company that operates over 28 hotels and 3 cruisers in India, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Egypt under the luxurious ‘Oberoi’ and five-star ‘Trident’ brands is currently on a 5-year expansion mode, under which it expects to have a total of 40 properties under the Oberoi brand.
“The objective in the next five years is to double the number of Oberoi hotels in India and outside. Right now, we have 19 and want to take it up to 40,” added Lambert.
Oberoi Hotels and Resorts that have won innumerable awards and recognitions for its excellence in the hospitality sector is also engaged in flight catering, airport restaurants, travel and tour services, car rentals, project management and corporate air charters.
