Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation’s luxury train ‘Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’ is all set to commence its first commercial tour this season from September 5th. The tourist train run by Indian Railways (IR) will begin its itinerary from Safdarjang station in New Delhi. The main highlight of this season’s journey is that tourists will be taken to khajuraho and Varanasi apart from the regular destinations of Rajasthan and Agra.
Some of the other major attractions covered under the journey include the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, the Ranthambhor National Park, Chittaurgarh Fort, Jag Niwas (Lake Palace), Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the Agra Fort and finally the Taj Mahal. In its 8-day tour, the train will halt at Jodhpur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Ranthambhore, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi and Agra.
‘Royal Rajasthan on Wheels’ equipped with modern amenities offers super deluxe and deluxe rooms for the guests besides other facilities like spa, gym, 2 restro lounges (Sheesh Mahal and Swarn Mahal), bar, laundry service, foreign exchange counters among others. Further, for comfortable sightseeing, air-conditioned Volvo buses will be provided to passengers of deluxe saloon and cars to passengers of super-deluxe saloon.
