The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will be developing the Suryalanka beach in the Guntur district at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crore. While, the Central government has already allotted Rs 5 crore for the development of beach, the remaining Rs 1 crore will be sanctioned by the state government.
The APTDC has also proposed to develop infrastructural facilities including roads up to the beach that will provide drinking water facility for tourists, food courts, swimming pools, cottages and watch towers.
Mr G. Ramakrishana, APTDC divisional manager said, “We have submitted proposals to the Central government for the development of the beach at a cost of Rs 6 crore to attract tourists. After getting approval from the government the APTDC will take steps for the development of the beach.”
