Nepal-based Ace Hotels and Resorts will be setting up a brand new four-star hotel at Nagpokhari in Nepal. The hotel to be named as Shakya Heritage Hotel will have 100 luxurious rooms. The construction of the hotel will begin by 2011, once all the necessary procedures are met.
Yogendra Shakya, Executive Chairman, Ace Hotels and Resorts said that he selected Nagpokhari to build the hotel in a bid to develop the place as an alternative to Thamel, a popular tourist hub in Kathmandu.
The hotel chain is planning to add 30 more rooms at Club Himalaya, a deluxe resort at Nagarkot. Currently, Club Himalaya has 50 rooms. Besides, Ace Hotels and Resorts are also keen to develop Ambassador Hotel and Marcopolo Business Hotel into commercial centres once Shakya Heritage Hotel becomes operational.
