Spread over an area of 30 acres, the Fantasy Land
amusement park of Mumbai is situated at Jogeshwari, near the Essel
World. Built over an expanse of green landscape, it offers a large
number of rides to its visitors. The amusement park is not very old and
was inaugurated as well as opened for the general public in the year
1992. However, it has experienced a growth in popularity over time and
today; it is counted amongst the most popular entertainment hubs of the
Bombay city of India.
Boasting of a number of adrenaline pumping rides, Fantasy Land has
something for people of all age groups. It boasts of a wide range of
international rides and games, providing the perfect excitement to
people. The new and innovative amusement options at Fantasy Land make it
a one of its kind amusements parks, not only in Mumbai, but the whole of
India. The Italian merry-go-round will take you back to your childhood
days, while the swinging Dragon will make you feel on top of the world.
Incase you are tired of the Mumbai traffic, just drive down in the car
and hit one other playfully, without the fear of hurting anyone or
getting caught. Then, there is the Master blaster that has a dozen arms.
It will take you high up in the air and then brings you down, with you
having butterflies in your stomach all the while. For those who love
roller-coaster rides, Fantasy Land has the Ze Ulta Fulta Express. The
ride takes you on a 360-degree turn in the sky, which is enough to make
you feel near weightless and simply out of this world.
However, if you are one of those less-adventurous types, don't worry.
The amusement park comprises of a number of coin-operated games. You can
even go for boating in the artificial lake or ride horses. The foodies
out there also have no reason to fret about. Right from the exotic
oriental dishes to delicious Indian cuisines, you have everything at the
Fantasy World. The amusement park is open from 11 am to 8 pm on
weekdays, except Monday. On weekends or public holidays, the closing
time gets extended by one hour, to 9 pm.
