Velvett Country Hill Resort & Healing Centre, Khandala, is all set to add 14 new rooms to its existing 37 rooms. The new rooms will be operational from February 2010. The resort has plans to invest Rs 3 crores for the upcoming rooms and has given the charge to FAB India, a textile company, for making the existing rooms ultra-glamorous, with new furniture, upholstery and bed linens.
Mohit Gupta, Managing Director - Velvett Country, Hill Resort & Healing Centre, Khandala, said that the renovation process will run in a phased manner by taking 10 rooms at a time. The resort is quite popular amongst the corporate and leisure guests, with 65% and 35% from each sector flourishing it respectively. The property is also said to cater to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) segment.
Velvett Country Hill Resort & Healing Centre also houses a health club, cafeteria, swimming pool, a signature restaurant ‘Farmer's Kitchen’, three conference rooms, tennis court and jogging track. Besides the standard, deluxe and suite rooms, the resort also has cottages for its guests.
