In a bid to promote Thailand as the top MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and leisure destination to Indian buyers and showcase MICE products, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) have decided to conduct road shows in Chennai on July 15 and in Mumbai on July 16, respectively. The Bureau will be bringing in 40 delegates from Thailand representing 28 companies for the road show. This information was divulged by Sheema Vohra, Director, Sartha Marketing Consultants – TCEB India Representative.
TCEB is also planning to organize another road show in Mumbai and India’s capital, New Delhi in mid-August 2010. The main objective of these road shows will be to exclusively promote exhibitions in Thailand and enhance Indian participation to these exhibitions, as well as introduce exhibition organizers to the Indian travel fraternity.
The road show that is conducted with the view of creating business prospects between Indian travel agents and Thai MICE suppliers will primarily focus on the key cities of India like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi where a latent demand for MICE groups exists.
