Nepal Tourism Infrastructure Development Council (NTIDC) that aims to explore the possible tourist destinations in all the districts of Nepal within the time span of next 2 years is preparing tourism profile of all 75 districts. Besides, NTDC is also working to identify the core tourist areas in the districts and their infrastructural conditions.
Baikuntha Pradhan, Chairman of NTIDC stressed out the need for producing efficient tourist guides skilled in English, Chinese, Japanese and other major foreign languages. "As Nepal sees large number of Indian tourists visiting the country chiefly for religious purposes, we should also focus on exploring historical and religious destination to attract Indian tourist”, added Pradhan.
The council also has plans to develop tourist information centers in different places of Kathmandu and in the districts headquarters all over Nepal.
