Qatar Airways that expanded its network by adding new routes like Bengaluru (Bangalore), Copenhagen, Ankara, Tokyo, Barcelona, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires and is keen to expand its operations further.
Qatar’s flag carrier recently announced new routes from Doha to Phuket and Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi that will commence its operations in October and November respectively. Besides, the airline is also planning to increase its flight frequency between Doha and Bangkok from double daily flights to 3 services a day from the end of October.
“By early next year, Qatar Airways will be operating to 98 destinations, a figure we expect to easily top 100 during 2011, which indeed is a remarkable feat for an airline which is only 13 years old,” said Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways.
