Royal Caribbean’s 2 freedom- class ships - Freedom of the Seas and the Liberty of the Seas will feature popular innovations from Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise liner in 2011.
"We had such an amazing reaction to so many of the features on Oasis, that our intent over time is to roll them across the fleet," said Lisa Bauer, Senior, Vice President, Hotel Operations, Royal Caribbean International.
The Freedom and Liberty will be going into dry dock for renovation during the first quarter of 2011. Some of the features that the 2 ships will be adopting from the Oasis include the Cupcake Cupboard, the Way finder navigating system, touch-screen signs that give information on activities and provide directions to any room or venue on the ship, 18.5-foot outdoor video screens and many more.
