India’s capital, Delhi will be starting helicopter service from October to facilitate travelers during the Commonwealth Games (CWG). The new service that will be provided by the state-run Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHHL) between Rohini in the west and Akshardham temple in the east will reduce the traveling time from 2 hours to 10 minutes. The heliport at Rohini will have helipads, parking bays, night landing facilities, and maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities, apart from a training academy.
