Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR) Limited, an eco tourism arm of Karnataka tourism that had participated at the Asian International Luxury Travel Mart (ALTM) in Shanghai in the month of June has received tremendous response at ALTM.
JLR, which for the first time took part in the 4 -day ALTM (Asia Luxury Travel Market) held from June 14th, received several tourist enquiries mostly from South-East Asia including China.
"About 40 travel agents, a number of them from China and Hong Kong, participated in the ALTM. All of them evinced keen interest in Karnataka as a tourist destination and JLR in particular for its eco and adventure tourism. However, out of the 40, five travel groups one each from Hong Kong, China, Australia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia have said they would bring in tourists who want to have a ‘feel of eco tourism in Karnataka’ said Sanjai Mohan , Executive Director, JLR.
JLR, which has been a forerunner in eco tourism in the Karnataka, manages various resorts across the state including Kabini, Bandipur, Karwar and other places. JLR popular both among domestic and foreign tourists received as many as 25,000 tourists between April and June, this year.
