Keeping in view the upcoming Commonwealth Games (CWG), the Haryana government has decided to provide all the tourists especially foreigners with the camp site facilities. The Haryana Tourism Corporation is planning to provide the facility of camp sites at Dundahera and Surajkund as there has been increasing demand among many travellers who visit Delhi to explore the nearby areas.
"Many tourists, especially the foreigners, prefer to spend some time in tents, so we are planning to provide them the same. We will come up with different options for them," Corporation's Managing Director S N Roy said.
The facility of 50 camps is proposed to be provided at Dundahera, census town in Gurgaon district, Haryana and Surajkund, which is famous for its annual crafts mela. Haryana is already providing 8,000 rooms for the Commonwealth Games which is going to kick start in the month of October in New Delhi. Besides, efforts are also being made to make Pinjore Garden near Chandigarh friendlier for the physically challenged.
