Australia’s low-cost airline Jetstar will be launching daily flight services between Auckland, New Zealand and Singapore in time for the Rugby World Cup, 2011. The new services that will kick start from March 17, 2011 will offer introductory fares as low as about $100 one way. The airlines will operate the route using an airbus A330-200 with StarClass business class on offer.
Airline executive manager of operations Mark Dal Pra said it will start selling seats within the next fortnight. The new Jetstar services will also support major New Zealand tourism initiatives including the 2011 Rugby World Cup. The new services are bound to benefit not only New Zealand tourism and trade but would also provide New Zealand travellers with greater option.
