The Jammu and Kashmir government will soon construct a tunnel at Vailoo on Anantnag-Kishtwar road to reduce the distance between the 2 places and facilitate tourists, especially Amarnath pilgrims who visit Amaranth Cave at Phalagam in Aananthnag district. The state government will create more facilities at different spots along the route for the convenience of travellers.
The tunnel will be constructed at Vailoo on the newly opened Anantnag-Kishtwar road. G M Saroori, the State Roads Minister, Government of Jammu & Kashmir said that the road connecting Kishtwar district in Jammu with the Anantnag in south Kashmir will improve the area’s economy and boost religious tourism.
