All the vehicle owners passing through Sariska National Park in Rajasthan now have to pay the entry fee mandatorily. The Sariska and Ranthambore Tiger Conservation Foundation have decided to introduce an entry fee on the entire vehicles except local vehicles (registered in Alwar district) passing through Sariska National Park to generate income. The decision was taken recently during the first meeting of the governing body of the Foundation in Jaipur.
It was also decided that, in order to meet the administrative expenditure of registration of tourist vehicles and training of nature guides, 5 per cent handling charges would be set aside from the entry fees collected from vehicle owners and nature guides to the Foundation.
