Hotel Association of India (HAI), the apex body of Indian hotel industry will soon host the second edition of Hoteliers’ Conclave in New Delhi at Taj Palace Hotel on August 24th and 25th, respectively. The conclave to be inaugurated by Kumara Seljia, Union Minister for Tourism is expecting around 250 hotel industry leaders and top management people who will mainly discuss key issues on Human Resource Development, Infrastructure development, safety and security, taxation issues and issues related with the environment.
According to HAI, the objective of the conclave is to develop a policy perspective through deeper insights into the mega trends impacting the growth of the industry. As 2010 is considered as the ‘SAARC Year of Tourism’, industry leaders from various South Asian hotel industry associations have been invited to deliberate on transnational partnership building.
HAI whose current membership is more than 250 hotels covers the entire spectrum of the hospitality industry ranging from small, medium and large hotels to exclusive stand-alone hotels and the major hotel groups. The much-anticipated conclave will also be attended by Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Human Resource Development; Dr Arun Maira, Member, Planning Commission; Sanjay Kothari, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, besides others.
