India’s luxury brand hotel group, Hotel Leelaventure Ltd, has posted 786 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 9.24 crore for the Quarter One (Q1) period of this year as against Rs 1.04 crore in the corresponding period, last year. Vivek Nair, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Hotel Leelaventure Ltd termed the income and net profit growth as a ‘turnaround in the fortunes’ of the hotel industry.
The Leela Group has a pan-India presence with 6 hotels, namely Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Kovalam, Udaipur and Gurgaon with over 1,600 guest rooms. Its subsidiaries include Kovalam Hotels Limited and Amin Group Hotel Limited (AGHL). Some of its properties include The Leela Kempinski in Mumbai, The Leela in Goa, The Leela Palace Kempinski in Bangalore,The Leela Kovalam in Kerala among others.
While, the Leela Kempinski in Mumbai is considered as one of the best deluxe hotels in India, the Leela Palace Kempinski in Bangalore has been identified by Forbes as one of the leading business hotels in India. The luxurious hotel spread over an area of 11 acres has 396 rooms. Hotel Leela Venture Company will be expanding its footprint in India by opening hotels in Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai in the near future.
