The much-anticipated Gurgaon Shopping Festival, an initiative developed by Haryana Tourism along with Haryana Travel Mart, REDCO (Real Estate Development Council) and District Administration Gurgaon will kick start on September 27th and conclude on November 1st .The Festival will also hold a 3-day travel mart at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on September 27-29.
To create awareness among the public about the festival, a logo and website, www.gurgaonshoppingfestival.in has been recently unveiled by Rajender Kataria, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon and Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta-Medicity.
Subhash Goyal, Chairman, Haryana Travel Mart and Co-Chairman, Gurgaon Shopping Festival said that the idea was to promote Gurgaon as a shopping destination on the lines of Dubai. “If Dubai can do it, we can also do it. It might not be big enough this time as this is our first year, but we have the vision to take this initiative to the level and scale of Dubai Shopping Festival,” added Goyal.
The 36-day long shopping, cultural, entertainment and adventure extravaganza that culminates on Haryana Day, November 1st will offer various discounts besides daily, weekly and bumper prizes for customers during this period. The festival which is expected to attract a lot of visitors will also include a wide range of activities like kids’ carnival, vintage car rally, food festivals, property exhibition, and auto show among others.
