There is good news for all the travellers to Haryana! The Haryana Cabinet in India has taken the decision to reduce Entertainment Tax (ET) levied on hotels, resorts, clubs and fun and theme parks. The Cabinet finally took the initiative and has given its approval to reduce ET from current 25% to 10% on establishments including hotels, resorts and clubs which conduct various fun games like billiards, go-karting, balling and pools. it also decided to exempt Golf Clubs from payment of entertainment duty.
Manbir Choudhary, President, Hotel & Restaurant Association of Haryana (HRAH) seemed happy hearing the news and said that a lot of hotels and resorts based in Gurgaon will benefit from this decision. “We are glad that Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana has responded positively to our demand for reduction of ET, which was by far the highest among other Indian states”, he added.
