Dang district in Gujarat will be soon getting a tourism circuit from the Gujarat government focusing on ancient religious sites related to Lord Hanuman. To promote tourism in the state, and particularly in Dang region, the state government will also develop a 'Ram trail' on the journey that Lord Rama undertook along with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman".
The trail will focus on various ancient sites related and associated with Ramayana characters. All these places are located in Dang, whose ancient name was Dandakaranya. Besides, the state government is also planning to build ‘Sant Nagar', which would depict the lives and works of ancient saints of the country.
