Dubai-based Emirates Airlines will start its new services to destinations including Madina, Baghdad, Madrid and Prague, this year. While services to Madina and Baghdad will be begin in July, the services to the other destinations will be operational by September.
Emirates currently operate 184 weekly flights from 10 Indian Cities including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. The carrier has ten A380 aircraft in its fleet and the new ones are expected to join by October 2016. Orhan Abbas, vice president, Emirates Airlines (India & Nepal) has said that the carrier has ordered an A380 aircraft at a whooping cost of $11.5 billion.
