The 3 Indian private airport operator companies namely GMR-Malaysia Airports; GVK-Flughafen Zurich AG (that runs Zurich Airport) and Reliance Infrastructure-Mexico Airports Aeropuertos y Ser-vicios Auxiliaries consortia’s, will be bidding on June 24th, to build a $ 360 - million airport in Male, the capital of Maldives.
The 3 Indian companies will have Aeroports de Paris and Vienna Airport as their foreign competitors. According to the proposal by the Maldives government, the bids have to build a new terminal that will have a capacity to handle 5 million passengers each year and 12 aircraft parking bays.
