Thiruvananthapuram/Trivandrum is situated in the
south west coast of Kerala. It is the capital city of Kerala state. The
weather and climate of Trivandrum is hot tropical. There is not much
difference in the temperature of summer and winter months. Humidity
rises to as high as 90 percent during the south-west monsoon. The
Trivandrum district gets rainfall from both the south-west Monsoon and
the north-east Monsoon.
The south-west monsoon sets in by June and lasts by the month of
September whereas the north-east monsoon starts in October and fades by
November. During the months of April and May, the mean daily maximum
temperature in Trivandrum may rise to 35°C whereas in
December-January, the temperature it may go down to 20°C. The best
time to visit Trivandrum is between November to March.
