Kappad beach is a beach that has much historical significance. Vasco da
Gama landed on this beach on the 27th of May, hence finding a sea route

Lakkidi
Lakkidi is a beautiful hill-station that is located at the top of
Thamaraserri Ghat pass, which is 700 meters above sea level. The
beautiful hill station is covered with lush green forests and the softly

Lokanarkavu Temple
The Lokanarkavu Bhagavati Temple is a temple that is dedicated to
Goddess Durga. There are two adjacent shrines that are dedicated to Lord
Vishnu and Lord Shiva. The temple is often mentioned in the traditional
ballads of Kerala.
Thikkoti Lighthouse
The Thikkoti lighthouse is located off the Moodadi coast. This
lighthouse was constructed after a shipwreck took place due to the "Velliyamkallu",
a huge boulder that is dreaded by sailors. The area around this rock is
a resting point for migratory birds.
Thusharagiri Waterfalls
The Thusharagiri waterfalls are nestled cozily in the hilly regions of
the Western Ghats. The gurgling waters that cascade down the mountains

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
The Wayanad wildlife sanctuary is located adjoining the protected area
network of Nagarhole and Bandipore. This sanctuary was established in
1973 and is home to many species of birds and animals.
