savanna climate, typical of most southern Karnataka regions.
Summer
The summer months of April and May are generally hot and dry. During
peak summer, temperatures hover around the 22C-38C range. As the monsoon
season sets in, seasonal rainfall results in high humidity and reduced
day temperatures.
Winter
During the winter months, the weather of Chitradurga takes a turn for
the better with temperatures taking a dip. Temperatures range from 15C
to 25C for the months of January and February.
