How To Reach KanatalKanatal is a hill station situated at the Chamba- Mussoorie road and is perched at a breath-taking altitude of 8500 feet. It is a magically calm place located far away from the hustle- bustle of cities, in the serene natural environs of Uttarakhand. Kanatal is located at a distance of 35 km from Mussorie and is at an hours drive from the popular hill resort. The nearest airport from Kanatal is Jolly Grant in Dehradun and the nearest two rail heads are Dehradun and Haridwar from where the tourists will have to hire a private cab or state buses to reach the destination.

Traveling To Kanatal

By Air
The nearest airport to Kantal is Jolly Grant in Dehradun (95kms) and Indian Airlines operate regular flights from Delhi to Dehradun. From Dehradun airport, the visitor will have to hire a taxi or cab to reach Kanatal. State buses are also available at regular intervals.

By Rail
The nearest railway links to Kanatal is provided by Dehradun and Haridwar. Shatabdi Express and Doon Express are the trains that provide regular service to both these stations, from New Delhi. From the stations, you will have to hire a cab to reach Kanatal or board the state buses.

By Road
Kanatal is also well connected by roads. It is at a distance of 300 km from Delhi. There are two feasible road routes to the place, from the national capital. One is Via Haridwar to Rishikesh where the uphill road through Narendra Nagar and Agrakhal takes you to Chamba. It’s a well maintained road with no road slides. Thereon, take the Chamba-Mussoorie road to reach Kantal.

The other route to Kanatal is via Chutmalpur to Mohand, leading up to Dehradun. The uphill road to Mussorie from Dehradoon is 30 km. There is a bypass to Kanatal just short of Mussoorie. The 9 km long bypass leads to Suvakholi and then to Buraskhanda and later Dhanaulti, Kadukhal and finally, Kantal.
