Heritage
On Wheels is a luxury train designed on the line of the famous "Palace
on Wheels". However, unlike the Palace On Wheels, this train takes
you those small cities of Rajasthan that have not been given due
appreciation. It takes you on a tour of cities like Bikaner, Shekhawati,
Gajner, Nawalgarh, Mandawa and Ramgarh twice a week from Jaipur. A joint
venture of the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian
Railways, Rajasthan Heritage on Wheels runs on the meter gauge. Moving
across the previously unexplored regions of the state, it brings you
closer to its true spirit.
Heritage On Wheels of Rajasthan, India combines the culture of the
state with all the modern luxuries. It consists of 14 saloons; each
designed keeping in mind the heritage of Rajasthan. There are two
restaurants, named as the Maharaja and the Maharani. Other facilities
provided in the train include a well stocked Bar cum Lounge, Kitchen and
service cars. The food serves consists of a number of cuisines, apart
from the traditional Rajasthani food. You will get a royal treatment
here with well-experienced staff in traditional uniform ever ready to be
of service to you.
