Luxury hotel brand ‘Jumeirah’ unveiled plans to launch a new lifestyle brand, VENU Hotels. It will be launched later in 2010 as a key element in its global expansion programme, which includes a goal of opening-up at least 30 hotels by 2013. The locations of the hotels are not yet confirmed, though, as per the advanced negotiations, the ‘Venu’branded hotels will be mostly coming up in the Middle East, Northern Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
Mr. Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman of Jumeirah Group, said: “Venu Hotels will, when launched, fulfill a clear market need and one that is highly complementary to the Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts brand. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting period opening new hotels, attracting new guests and introducing a new hotel brand concept to the world.”
Jumeirah Hotels was founded in 1997 and is now the leading hospitality industry leader with its world class portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts. Jumeirah has also been nominated in a number of categories at the World Travel Awards 2010 Middle East Ceremony. These include ‘Middle East’s Leading Hotel Brand’, ‘Middle East’s Leading Luxury Resort’ (Al Qasr at Madinat Jumeirah) and Burj Al Arab (Middle East’s Leading Luxury Hotel).
