India's biggest brand Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces opened its new business hotel in Bengaluru (earlier called Bangalore) on December 18, 2008. The hotel is christened 'Vivanta By Taj'. The term Vivanta is derived from vivacity, vividness and 'bon vivant'. Designed by WOW Architects, Singapore, it is an upscale and modern-day hotel located at Whitefield near International Tech Park.
The GM of this newly founded hotel Ajit Pavithran made no secret about the brand's future plans to open more hotels in Yeshwantpur which are likely to operate in the city from next year. A visibly elated Pavithran revealed that this state-of-the-art hotel will offer interactive TVs, Internet Protocol telephones and multimedia panel in addition to a high bandwidth internet connection and home theatres in its 199 rooms.
Other amenities offered include a swimming pool, tennis courts, gym and spa, banquet-meeting facilities and digital audio systems, all designed to serve its national and international guests in the best possible way. With more plans in their hands, travelers can look forward to many more stylish and luxuries hotels to come.
