The Gujarat tourism department has been adjudged as the best upcoming Tourism Department by Safari India, a prestigious regional tourism magazine that covers India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and South East Asia. The magazine has recognized the state tourism department for its outstanding efforts initiated under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in promoting and executing tourism industry innovatively in the state.
The award will be given at “Tourism Leaders' Conclave and Commonwealth Games” on 18th August at Gurgaon organized by Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA). State Tourism Minister Shri Jay Narayn Vyas who congratulated Tourism Department, TCGL (Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited) officials and Secretary Shri Mitra for bringing this honor to the state hoped that the Gujarat Tourism industry which still has a long way to go will continue to deliver best hospitality services to the tourists in the state.
Safari India National Tourism Awards is given annually to recognize the leadership quality in the field of hotel, tourism, destinations, airlines, travel agent and individuals. It also recognizes the professional work done by the state governments. These recommendations are given by the travel industry and approved by editorial board of Safari India.
