Two hotels of the Indian hospitality chain Oberoi Hotels and Resorts have been ranked among 10 best hotels in the whole world. The ranking was done by a leading US based travel magazine - Condé Nast Traveler. On this occasion, the Oberoi group released a statement stating the details about the rankings.
In a statement, the group said that two of its hotels have been ranked among 10 best hotels in the world in Condé Nast Traveler's 2009 Readers' Choice Awards. The statement also said that readers of Condé Nast traveler magazine had rated The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur and The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Ranthambhore amongst the 10 best hotels in the world for the third consecutive year.
The Oberoi Udaivilas has been ranked the best hotel in Asia, while Oberoi Vanyavilas has been voted amongst the two best resorts in Asia for the third consecutive year. Spread over 30 acres, Oberoi Udaivilas is in Udaipur, while Oberoi Vanyavilas is a luxury resort adjacent to the Ranthambhore National Park. The release added that the Readers' Choice Awards are based on Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Survey, the largest independent poll of consumers' preferences in the US.
