North Goa is all set welcome another five-star hotel that is slated to open on August 14th. ‘Resort Rio’, the first venture of Goa-based Riverside Resorts & Holiday Homes in the hospitality scene mainly that aims to tap the wedding and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) segment claims to have the largest convention space.
“Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru are our major source markets. Further, we will promote the property through travel agents and direct marketing to corporates. We will be focusing on international charters from the UK, France, Turkey, Russia, especially Ukraine, as it is a new and developing market,” said Benny D`souza, general manager-sales & marketing, Resort Rio.
The 102-room resort with international standards is equipped with modern amenities like 5 F&B (Food & Beverage) outlets, spa facilities with 7 treatment rooms. Being a new entrant, the hotel will also offer introductory packages. Resort Rio is looking forward to conduct farm trips for the domestic travel agents from this month. “We have already received bookings for NRI weddings in October this year”, added D’ Souza. Riverside Resorts & Holiday Homes is currently in the process of expanding its hospitality portfolio in various parts of India.
