Hotel Leela venture, one of the major players in the Indian hospitality sector is all set to unveil its new property, Leela Palace New Delhi which will be partially functional in the first week of October. According to Shashank Warty, Area Vice President, Hotel Leelaventure Limited, around 150 rooms and a couple of restaurants will be ready before the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi kick starts from October 3rd. He informed that the hotel will become fully operational by the end of the current year.
The group plans to unveil another hotel in Chennai which is slated to be ready in the next couple of months. “The Group will take up the Agra project by the end of this year after completing the New Delhi project,” Warty added.
Some of the hotels operated under Hotel Leela Venture Ltd include The Leela Kempinski in Mumbai, The Leela in Goa, The Leela Palace Kempinski in Bangalore, The Leela Kovalam in Kerala among others.
While the Leela Kempinski in Mumbai has 396 rooms, the Leela in Goa that is spread over an area of 75 acres and has a 12- hole golf course boasts of around 152 rooms. Besides, the company's hotel in Bangalore ‘The Leela Palace Kempinski’ has been identified by Forbes magazine as one of the leading business hotels in India.
