India’s budget brand, Peppermint Hospitality has launched its first property ‘Peppermint Hotel’ at Millennium City Centre in Gurgaon, Delhi. Peppermint, a brand, conceived by AB Holdings, is a 100 per cent subsidiary of the Bangalore-based Royal Orchid Hotels.
Plans are afoot to operate 30 more hotels in 26 cities by 2012-13 across India. The group will follow 3 modes of operations i.e. leased, managed and joint ventures for the upcoming properties.
Arjun Baljee, Managing Director, Peppermint Hospitality said, “After two years of extensive market research and analysis, we have targeted to operate 30 hotels in 26 cities. We have nine hotels under development in Jaipur, Vadodara, Jodhpur and Bengaluru. We are also in discussions with potential partners to set up 22 hotels at Udaipur, Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), Bekal, Kumarakom, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).”
The Peppermint Hotels with the tagline ‘Feel Good Stays’ offers good accommodation facilities and excellent services at value driven prices. "Peppermint was conceived while we were evaluating the hotel options around the country. No Indian brand has an indigenous equivalent to the Best Western or the Holiday Inn. We have developed a model which is easy to replicate and yet has the complexity of a service oriented brand” Arjun added.
