Elecon group, a 1500 crore business conglomerate based in Gujarat, has begun its innings in the hospitality sector, with the launch of Madhuban Resorts and Spa, in Charotar (Anand district of Gujarat). The property is located between Ahmedabad and Anand and shares good connectivity with the rest of the state. It is likely to begin its operations shortly.
Madhuban Resorts and Spa has 81 rooms and is spread over an area of 650000 sq ft. The 81 rooms include 30 Deluxe rooms, 30 Gali cottages, 10 Junior suites, 2 Deluxe suites and a presidential suite. A Kerala-style spa treatment is in the offing at the Madhuban Spa, which will be equipped with massage rooms whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and plush lounges.
At present, the multi-cuisine restaurant ‘Banyan Tree’ and 72 cover coffee shop ‘24 Seven’ is open for customers, while the resort is expected to soon become fully operational. Madhuban will also provide banquet facilities covering over 3000 sq ft, capable of accommodating 200 guests for MICE purposes. The company will invest Rs. 375 crore for developing the second phase of the project.
